I am a glass engraver, living and working in Oxford. I trained originally as a calligrapher and typographer before starting a career in publishing, but in 1980 I began studying glass engraving in London with Eli Eliades. Three years later I was nominated and elected an Associate Fellow of the Guild of Glass Engravers. I exhibit my work regularly and also work to commission. I have undertaken major commissions for churches and institutions and in 2010 engraved three glass door panels in the Birmingham Oratory church prior to the Pope's visit. I teach and demonstrate glass engraving - at Morley College in London, at Art in Action and at art fairs - and teach calligraphy to adult classes in Oxfordshire.
On this website you can learn more about my work and my passion for glass engraving and lettering. I love to combine letter shapes with an infinite variety of glass shapes. I hope that, whatever I engrave, I enhance the beauty of a piece of glass.
